👨‍💻 Creating an independent framework involves extensive coding from scratch to accurately support all key research components of a BCI application, namely stimulus presentation, signal processing, and online analysis. Regarding stimulus presentation, eliciting the expected neural responses requires the stimuli to be of high fidelity to the original design.
đź“Š Similarly, data acquisition should preserve the integrity of the signals, and its processing should adhere to the pre-established pipeline. Event and context markers should be thoroughly validated to ensure precise synchronization of neural data with significant events and high-quality data labeling for proper BCI classifier training. Finally, the classifiers should then be easily deployed without requiring technical expertise from the user.
